Go Fight Offer Free “Pussy” on Inauguration Day

Chicago-based “electroscuzz” group Go Fight is offering a free song, “Pussy” – released today, Inauguration Day 2017 – to anyone who donates to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

The song is downloadable from Bandcamp on the honor system, with the condition that the downloader donate to the ACLU or become a member. The band wanted to ensure that fans would develop or continue their own relationship with the ACLU, something they consider deeply important right now during the presidency of Donald Trump. A video for the track can be viewed HERE.

“The ACLU has been in operation since 1920 to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to every person in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States,” explains the group in a prepared statement. “We’re releasing this song today, ‘Pussy,’ as donation ware. You are free to download it, play it or hate it if you want [or love it - there is no accounting for taste]. We ask, in exchange, that you visit the ACLU website and begin your relationship with them, continue your relationship with them or even just read their website.”

Go Fight is the project of Jim Marcus, former lead singer for seminal industrial band Die Warzau as well as an occasional member of Pigface, Sister Machine Gun and other industrial acts since the early ’80s. The band also includes Die Warzau alum Dan Evans, drummer Vince McAley and bassist Mission Marcus. Started in 2013, they have consistently bucked trends, creating their own unique form of music out of the fabric of industrial, techno, electrohouse and dubstep, integrating elements of all to form a danceable, catchy and often bizarre celebration of alternative gender, sexuality and Liberal politics that has produced a string of songs played on dance floors in industrial and electronic clubs all over. More information on Go Fight is available HERE.
